Reflections on the Digitaonga presented at Conference in France

In June 2024 Assoc Prof Sarah Elsie Baker flew to France to present at the Ethical Leadership: A New Frontier in Design, an international Cumulus conference. Her paper, ‘Design and Animism In/Though/Outside of the Digital: Learning from Kaupapa Māori and the Digitaonga Project’, drew on some of the research findings from the Digitaonga project to explore how design might find new ways of working outside of dominant paradigms informed by Western approaches. The response to the paper was very good and participation offered lots of possibilities for future research collaboration.
